Notes

Possible confusion with L. virosa L., 1753, whose mature seeds are black, while those of L. serriola are brown.

  • L. serriola f. integrifolia (J.Becker) Hegi, 1928.

Hybridizes with L. saligna L., 1753 to produce L. × dichotoma Simonk., 1890, P.
