Notes
Possible confusion with E. vulgare L., 1753, whose flowers have a uniformly pubescent corolla, and whose leaves have only the main vein visible, while E. plantagineum has flowers whose corolla is hairy only on the edge and the ridges, and has leaves with visible secondary veins.
