Notes
Possible confusion with L. hybridum Vill., 1786, which has pinnatifid bracts, while L. purpureum has dentate or slightly pinnatilobate bracts.
Possible confusion with L. maculatum (L.) L., 1763, which has larger purple flowers, often spotted with white, or rarely entirely white.
