Notes

Possible confusion with P. vulgaris L., 1753, whose flowers have a shorter corolla (10-15 mm), while those of P. grandiflora have a longer corolla (20-25 mm).

P. grandiflora var. grandiflora (L.) Scholler, 1775, P;
P. grandiflora var. hastifolia (Brot.) Nyman, 1881.

Hybridizes with:

P. laciniata (L.) L., 1763 to produce P. × dissecta Wender., 1831, P;
