Notes
Possible confusion with many species of the genus Ranunculus. The sepals curved downward, the furrowed peduncle, the trisected basal leaves and the bulbous stem allow for the identification of R. bulbosus.

- R. bulbosus subsp. castellanus (Freyn) P.W.Ball & Heywood, 1962.
