Notes
Possible confusion with F. vesca L., 1753, which has flowers whose corolla remains open after they have been fertilized, while F. viridis has flowers whose corolla is applied against the fruit after they have been fertilized.

- F. viridis subsp. campestris (Steven) Pawł., 1968;
- F. viridis subsp. viridis Duchesne, 1771, P.
Hybridizes with:
- F. moschata Duchesne, 1766 to produce F. × neglecta Lindem., 1865, P;
- F. vesca L., 1753 to produce F. × bifera (Sm.) Duchesne, 1786, P (het. syn. F. × hagenbachiana Láng ex W.D.J.Koch, 1846).
