Notes
Possible confusion with S. chamaedryfolia L., 1753, which has leaves with visibly sunken veins, while S. × vanhouttei has leaves with flat veins.
Artificial hybrid of S. cantoniensis Lour., 1790 × S. trilobata L., 1771.
Named after Louis van Houtte (1810-1876), a Belgian horticulturist.
