Notes
Possible confusion with V. tricolor L., 1753, whose flowers have a lower petal with a large yellow base, or a fully yellow petal, and 2-3 black stripes on the lateral petals, while those of V. arvensis have a lower petal with a short yellow base and 0-2 black stripes on the lateral petals.
