Notes

Possible confusion with Atrichum undulatum (Hedw.) P.Beauv., 1805, whose leaves have a more acute tip.

Possible confusion with other species of the genus Plagiomnium. The erect, often branched stems, and the undulate leaves allow for the identification of P. undulatum.

Found on the soil in woodland, in moist and shady places such as crevices or ditches.
