Notes

Possible confusion with B. pubescens Ehrh., 1791, whose leaves are hairy on the abaxial side, while those of B. pendula are glabrous.

  • B. pendula subsp. pendula Roth, 1788, P;

Hybridizes with:

  • B. nana L., 1753 to produce B. × bottnica Mela, 1895, P;
  • B. pubescens Ehrh., 1791 to produce B. × aurata Borkh., 1800, P.
