Notes

Possible confusion with other species of the genus Tilia. The abaxial side of the leaves covered with stellate hairs allow for the identification of T. tomentosa.

• T. tomentosa var. tomentosa Moench, 1785, M.

Hybridizes with T. cordata Mill., 1768 to produce T. × juranyiana Simonk., 1886, M.
