Notes

Possible confusion with P. reticulata (Rupr.) K.Koch, 1873, which has longer internodes (40 cm) and is usually taller (> 8 m), while P. viridiglaucescens has shorter internodes (20-25 cm) and is shorter (≤ 8 m). P. viridiglaucescens young culms also have purplish nodes.
