Notes

Possible confusion with S. pentandra L., 1753, which has dark green, glossy, glabrous leaves, while S. alba has deep green, satin or matte, pubescent leaves.

  • S. alba subsp. alba L., 1753, P;
  • S. alba subsp. micans (Andersson) Rech.f., 1963.

Hybridizes with S. euxina I.V.Belyaeva, 2009 to produce S. × fragilis L., 1753, P.
